Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments to identify income, expenses, insurance coverage, tax status, risk tolerance, and overall financial goals.
- Advise clients on investment, tax, retirement, education, insurance, and estate planning.
- Prepare, interpret, and present financial information such as investment performance reports, financial summaries, and income projections.
- Analyze financial information obtained from clients to determine appropriate strategies for meeting financial objectives.
- Implement financial planning recommendations or coordinate with internal/external professionals for plan execution.
- Actively monitor financial markets and specific client holdings to ensure strategies remain aligned with client objectives.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding service expectations, portfolio performance, and planning milestones.
- Document all client interactions, notes, and follow-up tasks in Salesforce and ensure timely completion of commitments.
- Review client accounts regularly to identify the need for plan reassessment based on life changes, market conditions, or performance.
- Collaborate with attorneys, accountants, and other professionals to fully understand and support clients’ financial needs.
- Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and refer new business aligned with firm goals.
- Participate in client and prospecting events as needed, occasionally outside of standard business hours.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (required).
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) required or in process;
- Series 65, 66, CFA, ChFC, CIC, or PFS credentials preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related field.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to The Woodlands / Houston, Texas area; hybrid role.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with a client-first mindset.
- Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential client information.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM, Envestnet or similar portfolio accounting system, and financial planning software.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and collaborative, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
