We are seeking a Tacker Welder to support the fabrication of structural frames using carbon steel and mixed metals. This role partners with fitters and welders to prepare joints, set up fixtures, and perform tack welding using flux-cored/FCAW and other welding processes while following basic weld symbols.
Responsibilities
- Perform tack welding on structural frame assemblies.
- Prepare joints for welding and assembly.
- Set up and maintain welding fixtures.
- Handle carbon steel, mixed metals, and related materials.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment.
- Partner with fitters and welders throughout the fabrication process.
- Interpret basic welding symbols and use measuring tools to support accurate fabrication.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in tack welding.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of welding symbols and measuring tools.
- Experience with metal fabrication.
- Strong attention to detail.
