What are the responsibilities and job description for the Thrift Store Cashier position at Union Mission Ministries, Inc.?
Purpose: To assist in the daily operations of the Thrift Store when, where, and as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- This person would run the cash register (Square), handle money, make change and process credit card charges for customers.
- Help put out merchandise and organize the store when possible.
- To appropriately deal with customers and donors when requested.
- To clean store, sort, price clothes, and other items when authorized.
- Perform tasks that are necessary to prepare for the display and sale of merchandise.
- other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be able to handle difficult customers on occasion.
- Knowledge of clothing brands and prices is preferred.
Credentials and Experience:
- High School graduate or Equivalent
- Experience working with people or in retail preferred.
