Union County is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance II. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and components, as well as performing a wide range of building and facilities maintenance duties in County-owned buildings.

Union County is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance II. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and components, as well as performing a wide range of building and facilities maintenance duties in County-owned buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and complete work orders related to electrical projects, including installation, repair, and diagnostics.
- Maintain electrical systems and equipment; ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
- Perform preventive maintenance and keep accurate records.
- Complete new wiring projects; install light fixtures, outlets, switches, and related components.
- Assist with maintaining electrical supply inventory and purchasing needs.
- Provide guidance to individuals completing community service requirements.
- Maintain trucks, tools, and equipment assigned.
- Perform seasonal maintenance (snow removal, lawn care, painting, etc.).
- Prepare and maintain reports, forms, and documentation related to work assignments.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, County staff, and the public.
- Vocational or technical school training in electrical maintenance.
- At least two (2) years of experience in building/facilities maintenance, electrical repair, or a related field.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Successful completion of a drug and alcohol screening.
- Successful completion of a reference check.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to perform moderate physical work, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to dust, noise, extreme temperatures, heights, confined spaces, and electrical hazards.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
