Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse operations. This position will be responsible for coordinating shipping and receiving activities, inspecting and verifying merchandise, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring shipments are processed correctly and on time.
The ideal candidate should have shipping and receiving experience, forklift knowledge, and working knowledge of SAP. Attention to detail, organization, and accuracy are essential for this position.
Duties
- Receive and inspect incoming merchandise for quantity, condition, and accuracy.
- Process and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities.
- Verify merchandise against purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, and shipping documents.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation and receiving records.
- Enter, update, and maintain inventory information in SAP and other computer systems.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damages, shortages, or missing merchandise.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Operate a forklift and pallet jack to move and organize merchandise safely.
- Organize merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Ensure shipments are properly labeled, documented, and prepared for delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing merchandise.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company safety procedures and warehouse policies.
- Perform other warehouse and shipping/receiving duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a similar warehouse position.
- Working knowledge of SAP required.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Experience with inventory control and shipping documentation preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle merchandise as required.
Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
