U S Customs Broker is looking for a responsible data entry who will be working the warehouse shipping and receiving department in coordination with the import & export department.
Shipping & Receiving Duties involve managing the flow of goods into and out of a warehouse. Responsibilities include:
- Receiving incoming shipments and verifying contents against purchase orders or packing slips.
- Inspecting products for damage, defects, or shortages.
- Unloading trucks and moving materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment (if certified).
- Labeling, sorting, and storing inventory in designated locations.
- Preparing, packing, and shipping customer orders accurately and on time.
- Creating and maintaining shipping documents, bills of lading, and tracking information.
- Operating shipping software and inventory management systems.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records through cycle counts and stock updates.
- Coordinating with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve shipping or receiving issues.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Following company procedures for handling hazardous or fragile materials, when applicable.
- Assisting with loading outbound shipments and ensuring proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
These duties require attention to detail, organizational skills, basic computer proficiency, the ability to lift and move materials safely, and strong teamwork and communication skills.
