Position Summary
The Order Releaser ensures that customer sales orders are accurately reviewed, validated, and released from the sales system to the warehouse for picking and fulfillment. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to prioritize orders to meet delivery deadlines while ensuring operational accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Review incoming sales orders for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
- Release approved orders to the warehouse through the company’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) and/or ERP system.
- Coordinate with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to address any discrepancies or special requirements.
- Monitor order queues and prioritize releases based on delivery schedules, product availability, and operational capacity.
- Maintain accurate records of released orders and communicate status updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Generate and analyze order reports using Excel to identify trends, issues, or opportunities for process improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance order accuracy and release efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Analytical thinking and ability to apply prioritization logic to order management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas).
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate across multiple teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or supply chain background preferred.
