The Foreign Trade Zone Coordinator facilitates all Free Trade Zone activities to ensure timely execution and delivery. The Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Coordinator ensures the accuracy of import data, physical inventory, and customs records and is responsible for audit and regulatory compliance for the organization.
Responsibilities
· Monitors and manages all Free Trade Zone (Inbound and outbound) within the Miami facility, administer the day-to-day FTZ operations of admissions and shipments
· Process daily zone transactions (E-214) and prepare and submit weekly 3461/7501 Filings to U.S. customs as well as daily data verification
· Retrieves all shipping documentation pertaining to foreign receipts, analyzes and prepares weekly estimated entry
· Maintains and retains FTZ records as required by law, including weekly electronic backup of all FTZ files; validation of all Customs documentation
· Working with the Warehouse Manager, facilitates exports from the FTZ, generates in bond shipments and coordinates with customer’s shipping department and/or carriers
· Load import files from SAP (receipts, orders, suppliers). Correct errors on missing data elements (missing cost, supplier, etc)
· Be a liaison to internal and external personnel regarding FTZ operations and activities; Work closely with warehouse personnel ensuring bonded and domestic goods are properly identified, handled, and received into the zone
· Assist with the reviews/audits of all FTZ records while ensuring accurate and complete record keeping are maintained for FTZ movements
· Keep updated with legislation changes impacting foreign trade zones
· Provide annual FTZ reports (Yearly Blanket CBP form 216, Annual Reconciliation, Certification Letter, FTZ Board Report)
Qualifications
· Two (2) or more years’ experience in Trade Compliance or International Supply Chain and Logistics
· Experience using SAP
· Knowledge of practical FTZ regulations & application
· Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
· Knowledge of harmonized tariff codes
· Strong analytical and organizational skills
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel required
