Position Summary
We are seeking a Sales Development Representative to join a growing sales team. In this position, you will be responsible for qualifying leads at the initial stages in the sales funnel. You will also research potential clients, connect with and educate prospects, and qualify leads before handing them off to sales team members in a remote work environment.

The outbound sales process requires salespeople to reach out to prospects in the form of cold calls, emails or social networks. This process allows salespeople to personalize their outreach from the first touchpoint as they maintain a high number of touches prior to scheduling an introduction call. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills across a variety of channels (email, social media, phone, etc.).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify potential clients in the assigned verticals and complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s business and digital need
  • Be responsible for educating and developing prospects leading to hand-off to sales teams
  • Cold call into prospects generated by variety of outside sources
  • Set appointments for sales team when a lead reaches a qualified stage
  • Drive attendance for webinars and live seminars, set meetings for conferences
  • The success of this position will be defined by the creation of a sales funnel that leads for forecastable opportunities
  • Ensure successful follow through of sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in Salesforce
  • Partner with sales and services to create contract-winning proposals for prospective clients
  • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up to date on industry news

Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field preferred 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Promotes a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables. 
  • Ability to bring new ideas to the company
