General Accountant opportunity with a well-established organization in the financial and insurance services space.
This role is based in Johnston, RI and offers the chance to work with a variety of financial reporting and analysis tasks in a collaborative environment.
In this position, you’d be responsible for compiling and analyzing financial data to prepare general ledger entries, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting cash management activities. You would also prepare quarterly and annual financial/statutory reports, including workpapers and footnotes, while collaborating with auditors, state insurance departments, and internal stakeholders. The role provides hands-on experience with GAAP and statutory reporting requirements and the opportunity to contribute to important financial processes.
We’re seeking candidates with 1–3 years of accounting experience, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and strong Excel skills. Exposure to the insurance industry is a plus. Ideal candidates are analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
