What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Scientist – Clinical Trials / AI & ML position at Unicon Pharma Inc?
We are seeking a highly technical Data Scientist to join the cMARS (Center for Metrics, Analytics, Reporting & Solutions) Data Science Team. This role focuses on building and productionizing AI/ML models, predictive analytics solutions, and GenAI tools supporting Clinical Trial Operations and R&D analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and deploy predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics models for clinical trial operations
• Develop machine learning solutions for forecasting, risk monitoring, resource allocation, and milestone tracking
• Analyze clinical trial and real-world data to generate operational insights and benchmarking analytics
• Design AI/GenAI solutions including NLP workflows, document automation, and chatbot functionality using LLM frameworks
• Create centralized risk prediction and alerting mechanisms across sites, studies, countries, and portfolios
• Translate analytical findings into business insights and stakeholder presentations
Required Skills:
• 5 years of Data Science experience within the Pharmaceutical or Clinical Trials domain
• Strong Python and/or R programming experience with Data Science libraries
• Experience building supervised and unsupervised ML models
• Hands-on experience with Regression, Random Forest, Decision Trees, NLP, Clustering, Predictive Analytics
• Experience deploying ML models into production environments
• Experience working with Clinical Trial Operational Data or Real World Data (RWD)
