2nd shift -3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
3rd shift - 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
The Packaging Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining packaging equipment in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This role ensures all products are packaged in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), FDA regulations, and company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust automated and semi-automated packaging equipment such as fillers, labelers, sealers, wrappers, and cartoners.
- Follow all cGMP, SOP, and FDA requirements during packaging activities to ensure compliance and product integrity.
- Perform equipment setup, start-up, changeovers, cleaning, and shutdown according to documented procedures.
- Conduct in-process quality checks including weight verification, seal integrity, torque testing, and label accuracy.
- Complete batch records, logbooks, and production documentation in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Inspect packaging materials and finished goods for defects or nonconformance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area following 5S and sanitation standards.
- Report deviations, equipment issues, and quality concerns to supervision and Quality Assurance.
- Work safely while following all PPE and facility safety protocols.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
