Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Casting Supervisor to lead day-to-day shop-floor casting operations. This is a hands-on supervisory role, requiring active involvement on the production floor rather than office-only management. The Casting Supervisor will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality casting operations while maintaining full traceability and coordinating closely with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support shop-floor casting operations, providing hands-on leadership and real-time problem solving
- Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and process issues to minimize downtime and ensure production targets are met
- Coordinate daily activities with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to address equipment performance, quality concerns, and process improvements
- Ensure proper heat and lot traceability, including accurate documentation and tracking throughout the casting process
- Enforce safety policies, quality standards, and operational procedures
- Monitor production schedules, manpower allocation, and workflow to ensure efficient operations
- Train, mentor, and evaluate casting operators to maintain high performance and compliance
- Ensure housekeeping and workplace organization standards are maintained
- Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work flexible schedules, including off-shifts and weekends, as operational needs require
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Proven hands-on shop-floor supervisory experience in casting or manufacturing
- Strong ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues in real time
- Experience working cross-functionally with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams
- Solid understanding of traceability requirements, including heat and lot tracking
- Strong communication and leadership skills
