What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist/Front Desk position at Underground Strength & Wellness?
We are looking to add a Medical Receptionist to our growing team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Checking patients in and out of the clinic
- Taking payment for services using point of sale technology
- Answering phone calls and talking with patients about our services
- Charting patient visits within the EHR
- Assisting new patients with setting up their patient portal and ensuring patient completion of intake forms and consents
- Scanning and dispensing prescribed medications
- Calculating hours for payroll
- Ordering office medical supplies as needed
- Assisting with routine office housekeeping as needed
Previous experience in a wellness clinic/hormone clinic is preferred, but not required.
Medical Receptionist Requirements:
- Must be an exceptional multi-tasker with strong customer service skills
- Must have a welcoming, outgoing and friendly demeanor
- A team player with an up-beat, positive “can-do” attitude
- Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Must be comfortable working in a high patient volume environment.
- Must be willing to work 10AM-6PM M-F
- Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-sale technology.
- Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with retail and medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, physicians and representatives of the community.
- Basic understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred.
