What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Front Desk Receptionist position at South Atlanta Ear Nose & Throat, PC?
The check-in/check out employee must clearly understand the value of customer service to be effective in this position.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks with ease.
Data entry of demographics, scan all paperwork into patient chart
Individual must be able to communicate with patients in a professional and courteous manner.
Verify insurance prior to scheduled appointment must foresee any financial/insurance problems and correct them before the patient is seen including: referrals, authorizations, out of network benefits, etc.
Input daily co-payments, & charges while monitoring if there are unspecified charges or require modifiers.
Close out daily charges, run ledger, check and balance.
Answer phone when needed
Personnel:
Individual must be able to function well in a team atmosphere and maintain good communication with co-workers and management.
Candidate must understand the importance of attitude, attendance, accuracy, appearance, aptitude and adaptability in achieving objectives.
Seek co-workers input regarding clinical operations, policies and procedures when necessary.
Monitor patient flow.
Must be able to give and receive constructive criticism when necessary to improve skills and understanding.
Candidate must have experience with EHR system. Preferably Athena
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
