Job Title: Apparel Hanger
Department: Operations
Reports To: Laundry Production Supervisor
Primary Function
Efficiently hang, sort, and categorize laundered clothing onto appropriate hangers and z-racks while maintaining quality and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
Hang garments on appropriate hangers and sort by category.
Assess garments for pricing or recycling.
Attach load tags to the first garment on each z-rack.
Measure and size garments, applying appropriate sizing stickers.
Mark hangers with colored dots indicating flaws or condition.
Maintain daily production records, meeting a goal of 700 garments per day (96 per hour).
Stay updated on seasonal guidelines, clothing brands, and fabric care.
Record unit quantities in the Log Activity section of the Receiving App, including the number of pieces hung, the time spent hanging items, and any other activities that temporarily take you away from your primary duties.
Ensure workspace cleanliness and organization.
Assist with recycling and maintain awareness of load numbers.
Support other operational departments as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills: Basic math and calculator operation.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Light to moderate lifting.
Repetitive motion tasks.
Work Schedule
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (40 hours/week).
Mandatory Overtime: As needed.
Required Workdays:
Fridays before Memorial Day, Labor Day, Winter Event.
Business day before July 4th.
Saturday before Thanksgiving.
One holiday per year is required at either sales channel.
