Assistant Director of Residential Conduct and Care

The Assistant Director for Residential Conduct and Care serves as the primary case manager and administrator of the Carolina Housing conduct system. The Assistant Director also supports care case management and response for the department. The Assistant Director will lead the departmental conduct committee, oversee the implementation of the conduct process and serve as the lead trainer for hearing officers within Carolina Housing. The Assistant Director will also liaison with the Office of Student Conduct and the Office of the Dean of Students in managing complex student cases. The Assistant Director will support the care process by assigning appropriate follow-up, serve as a member of the Care Team, and liaising with the Dean of Students Office to best support students. The Assistant Director for Residential Conduct and Care directly supervises 3-4 full time Community Directors and is responsible for oversight of approximately 60 undergraduate student employees. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with a diverse student population, be committed to student learning and personal growth, and have strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. The Assistant Director is a member of the Residential Education Leadership Team and serves in the secondary on-call crisis rotation for the Department of Housing and Residential Education. The position reports to the Associate Director for Residential Living.
