Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
The Technology Governance Analyst supports UMRF Ventures’ IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives by ensuring adherence to security policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices. This role involves analyzing IT processes, mapping systems and networks, using and assisting with risk assessments to maintain a secure and compliant technology environment.
The Technology Governance Analyst works 15 hours a week on site, ideally during the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM from Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining IT governance frameworks and policies.
- Conduct compliance checks and support audits for regulatory standards.
- Perform network and system mapping to document infrastructure and dependencies.
- Monitor and report on IT risk, security posture, and compliance gaps.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to implement governance and security best practices.
- Maintain documentation for IT processes, controls, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Use a cloud-based compliance automation platform to review documentation and maintain security standards by managing evidence collection, policies, and risk monitoring.
- Additional responsibilities are defined between CIO and the employee depending on company needs and the employee’s availability

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Admin Center, Azure, Intune, Security & Compliance)
- CompTIA Network , or equivalent preferred
- CompTIA Security , or equivalent preferred
