What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Governance Sr. Analyst position at International Paper?
- Provide strategic direction to manage finance data as a critical corporate resource
- Develop policies that focus on best practices and provide the framework for decision-making when there are conflicting views among various business groups and supply chain functions
- Assist with implementing GFIM’s Data Management processes
- Monitor / measure (KPIs) to ensure actual data quality, services, and processes meet objectives
- Identify and implement data improvement initiatives
- Active participation and/or point of contact in process integration, system upgrades, merger and acquisition activities, as well as ensuring proper treatment of disposals/liquidations
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance related position with exposure to data maintenance activities and business warehouse functionality
- Foundational accounting knowledge
- Ability to work in a team environment, including interaction with other members of Finance & IT teams.
- Cost accounting and manufacturing background preferred.
- Strong SAP functional skills, BW working knowledge
- Knowledge of data management processes with an emphasis on data stewardship / governance for an Enterprise system is desirable
- Must understand SAP data structures and use in business processes
- Possess excellent teamwork skills
- Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
