Mobile Device Test Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite)

About The Role

We are seeking a Mobile Device Test Engineer to support the evaluation and quality assurance of next-generation mobile technologies. This role focuses on validating device functionality, investigating technical issues, and ensuring a consistent end-user experience across hardware and software platforms.

The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting complex technical problems, working with mobile operating systems, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct functional and system-level validation of mobile devices and embedded software.
• Develop and execute structured validation scenarios for new features and system enhancements.
• Investigate software and hardware anomalies through diagnostic data analysis.
• Review system logs and identify root causes of failures.
• Perform validation activities across various mobile operating systems and wireless technologies.
• Document findings, reproduce reported issues, and communicate results to engineering stakeholders.
• Support product quality initiatives throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in field and laboratory testing as required.
• Maintain accurate testing documentation and validation records.
• Contribute ideas for improving validation processes and overall product quality.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience working with Android and/or iOS platforms.
• Familiarity with mobile log collection and diagnostic analysis.
