Staff Accountant

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their client's dynamic team in California. This position offers an opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment where accuracy and efficiency are highly valued. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of accounting principles.

• Assist in maintaining the general ledger and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Reconcile accounts and bank statements, identifying discrepancies and ensuring timely resolution.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
• Assist with the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Identify areas for process improvement and assist in implementing changes to enhance efficiency.
• Provide support during audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and available.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to address any financial inquiries or issues.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
• Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
