Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Pay: $23-$28/hr DOE

Duration: ~3 months with potential for permanent conversion

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced temporary Medical Biller to support a healthcare organization during a critical, time‑sensitive project. This temporary role focuses heavily on managing, organizing, and processing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) from Other Healthcare Coverage providers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for locating, sorting, coding, and distributing EOBs from Other Healthcare Coverage providers.
• Support billing operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of documentation.
• Maintain data integrity and confidentiality in accordance with billing regulations and internal policies.
• Visit the onsite corporate office as needed to sort mail (typically 1-2 times per week; up to 5 hours total).

Requirements

• 2 years of recent medical billing experience
• Proven proficiency in EHR billing systems, including accurate application of ICD‑10 coding standards
• Extensive hands‑on experience reviewing, interpreting, and reconciling Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documentation
• In‑depth knowledge of Other Health Coverage (OHC) billing workflows and Medi‑Cal compliance requirements
