Certified Payroll Specialist

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a meticulous and dedicated Certified Payroll Specialist to join their client's team in California. This role involves ensuring compliance with payroll regulations for public projects, maintaining accurate records, and preparing necessary documentation for audits. The position requires an individual with strong attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of prevailing wage laws.

• Prevailing Wage Compliance: Ensuring employees on public projects are paid the correct wage and fringe benefit rates mandated by federal or state law.
• Form WH-347 Preparation: Submitting accurate weekly payroll reports detailing worker classifications, hours worked, and wages paid.
• Data Management & Reporting: Maintaining detailed records for at least three years, including daily logs, employee information, and deductions.
• Worker Classification: Correctly identifying worker classifications to ensure proper wage payment and avoid misclassification issues.
• Reporting & Audits: Submitting reports via electronic systems (e.g., DIR in California) and preparing documentation for potential government audits.
• Fringe Benefit Tracking: Calculating and tracking fringe benefits, ensuring they are paid in compliance with project requirements.
  
  

• Experience in payroll processing and compliance, particularly with prevailing wage laws.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial records.

Monday - Friday, 1st shift

Competitive salary based on experience, with a range of $25 - $30 per hour.
