Quality Control & Production Support Technician

Ultimate Staffing is looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented QC & Production Support Technician to join our client's team. In this role, you'll be responsible for inspecting materials and components-both incoming and manufactured-while also supporting key production and warehouse activities. Location: Branford, CT

Salary: Up to $30/hr, depending on experience!

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform precise dimensional and visual inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other tools.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
• Identify nonconforming parts and initiate rework or rejection processes.
• Create and update spreadsheets for data tracking and analysis.
• Laser etch or pin stamp identification numbers on parts.
• Monitor calibration schedules for tools and equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Support material prep by selecting and cutting materials based on work orders.
• Load, unload, and transport materials between storage and production areas.
• Assist with general shop and warehouse tasks, including shipping/receiving backup and facility-related projects.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Wear proper PPE and follow all company safety policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve daily.
• Familiarity with metrology, quality control, and calibration techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and working in a Windows environment.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Willingness to adapt to shifting priorities and support multiple departments.
