Position OverviewUltimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a Desk Clerk to join their client's team in California. The Desk Clerk will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment, and upholding community standards. This part-time position is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, attentive to detail, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary presence at the front desk; maintain a clean, professional appearance.Greet residents and visitors; provide access to approved guests and vendors.Answer questions, provide basic community information, answer phones, and take accurate messages.Monitor security cameras, perform routine property walks, and report suspicious activity.In emergencies, contact appropriate authorities (e.g., 911) and notify property management.Enforce community policies, including after-hours guest rules and lobby expectations.Maintain cleanliness of the lobby area; coordinate with janitorial staff as needed.Perform other duties assigned by property management.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Open to Part Time: 20 - 25 hours per week.Ability to work well with residents, guests, vendors, and staff.Mature, responsible, and able to exercise sound judgment.Flexible attitude and ability to work independently.Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.Previous front desk, customer service, housing, or security experience preferred.Physical RequirementsRegular use of computer and phone.Ability to sit at the front desk for extended periods.Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds.Required Work HoursThe position requires part-time work of 20 - 25 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate the community's needs.BenefitsCompensation for this role ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, providing a competitive rate for part-time employment.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
