Summary:
Will perform the general duties of the Journeyman Painter. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager of the Department of Residence Life.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for paint, including scrape, spackle, putty, re-glaze, sand, and clean as needed. : 30%
Mix and apply paint with a roller, brush, or spray on various types of interior and exterior surfaces. : 30%
Clean and care for all paint-related rollers and equipment. Keep work area, supplies, and materials clean and orderly on a daily basis. : 15%
Responsible for safe storage of all paint-related materials, protection of work areas, and posting of wet paint signs, etc. : 10%
Load, unload, and erect scaffolding, planks, ladders, and other paint-related equipment. : 10%
Tape and finish drywall as required. Perform other duties as required or assigned. : 5%
