Position Summary

Assist in carrying out molecular dynamics simulations and analyzing the data.

Duties & Responsibilities

• The student will be assisting with a project on modeling covalent organic frameworks.
• The student will be working with two graduate students on this project and assisting them.
• The graduate students will prepare the models to be studied computationally.
• The undergraduate student will help monitor the jobs on UIC’s computational cluster.
• The undergraduate student will download the resulting data and prepare it for further analysis.
• The graduate students develop the analysis scripts.
• The undergraduate student will help run the analysis scripts and collect the output for further analysis.
• The undergraduate student will help with data visualization.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
