What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extra Help - Information Technology Technical Associate - Technology Solutions position at uic?
Position Summary
Solution and develop software applications within Technology Solutions; our central IT for UIC. Work collaboratively with Web/Mobile and UI/UX Developers to expose data via business logic, server scripts, and/or APIs for the Front-End team to utilize. Also, work closely with the DevOps team to maintain ongoing security, scalability, optimization, and server stability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Front-End: Develop user-facing features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.
- Back-End: Code server-side logic, APIs, and database interactions (SQL/NoSQL).
- Database Management: Design, create, and maintain databases.
- Testing & Debugging: Troubleshoot issues and fix bugs across the entire stack.
- Deployment: Work with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to Manage deployment to servers and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Work with designers, product managers, and other developers.
- Provide support and maintenance as defined in the SLA. Ensure documentation and self-guides are developed for the applications worked on.
- Engage in the development, review, and implementation of related IT project plans, including engaging with stakeholders for requirements gathering and deliverables.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
