Position Summary
The Extra Help Information Technology Technical Associate (Network VoIP Engineer) will be responsible for after-hours work on nights & weekends to facilitate the Zoom migration project. Monitor and maintain network reliability and availability, switches, routers, IP voice endpoints, voice mail, unified communication systems and server systems. Will act as a VoIP technical advisor, providing expertise in the areas of installation, configuration, and maintenance for the overall VoIP system.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitate the migration to Zoom from Cisco.
- Confirm all VoIP components are configured and maintained per industry best practices by:
- Changing call routing in Cisco Unified Communications Manager
- Updating routing rules on Ribbon session border controllers
- Adding users, devices, and queues to Zoom Phone
- Document VoIP infrastructure, environment and deployments, update E911 information.
- Provide reports and updates in a timely matter as needed by senior management.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
