Position Summary
The University of Illinois Rockford is seeking PRN CNA's for multiple shift opportunities. Shift differentials apply to evening and overnight positions. These positions are part of our patient care team providing clinical services at the Winnebago County Justice Center in Rockford. Position responsibilities include participating in skilled patient care of inmates in a Department of Corrections environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Measures and records fluid intake and output of patients as directed
Distributes and removes bed pans and urinals, with responsibility for collecting and labeling urine and stool specimens as directed.
Gives simple cleansing enemas and special baths and non-sterile wet compresses.
Obtains and records patients’ temperature, pulses, and respiration rates.
Prepares patients for meals and feeds patients as necessary.
Sets up and cleans up examinations rooms.
Assists clinician with exams as needed (for example; drapes patient for exam and treatment, adjusts lights, holds and hands instruments to clinician, applies or removes simple dressings).
Assists nursing with medical intakes.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
