Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and diligent Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle chemical agents safely for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Operate floor buffers and other custodial equipment to maintain polished floors and proper floor care.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas with attention to detail.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks and facilities maintenance as needed to support overall building operations.
- Follow safety procedures diligently during manual handling and chemical agent handling to prevent accidents or injuries.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning standards.
- Familiarity with custodial equipment such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy objects.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or porter work is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of residential painting or general upkeep can be an added advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards at all times.
