Janitor/Cleaner

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
• Operate floor buffers, polishers, and other custodial machinery to maintain floor care standards
• Handle chemical agents safely and in accordance with safety protocols to ensure a healthy environment for everyone
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or equipment following safe lifting practices
• Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance
• Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution

Skills

• Experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial and industrial cleaning techniques
• Ability to perform manual tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment
• Experience operating floor buffers, polishers, or other custodial machinery
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and basic repair skills are not required but are nice-to-have skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
