Janitor/Cleaner

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination
• Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, and other custodial equipment to maintain high standards of floor care and sanitation
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to proper lifting practices during the movement of supplies or equipment
• Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and sanitation materials as needed to ensure continuous cleanliness
• Maintain records of cleaning activities, safety inspections, and supply inventories for accountability and reporting purposes
• Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or light repairs when required

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings with knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment
• Familiarity with chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards
• Customer service mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance, sanitation standards, and basic repair skills such as painting or minor repairs is preferred
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
