Homecare Occupational Therapist Staff Supplement | Homecare | PRN | Variable

Overview

This position is responsible for providing occupational therapy services in compliance with Shands HomeCare policies and procedures, applicable healthcare standards, and all federal and state laws and regulations. The Occupational Therapist works proactively to meet patient and client needs and to support the achievement of individualized, measurable treatment outcomes.

This role reports to and is supported by the Director of Rehabilitation or designee. The Occupational Therapist may provide supervision to an Occupational Therapy Assistant as applicable.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited School of Occupational Therapy with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree
• Current Occupational Therapy license in the State of Florida
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience, including at least one (1) year of demonstrated expertise in a specialty area such as home care, women’s health, sports, neurology, wound care, orthopedics, or pediatrics
• Home care experience preferred

• Must meet licensure and certification requirements as outlined above
  
  

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation

• Employees in this position may operate a vehicle for assigned business purposes as a non-frequent driver
• A frequent driver is defined as one who uses a personal or Shands vehicle at least once daily, five or more individual trips per week, or averages over 150 miles per week in the performance of job duties
