Position Summary
UBMD Neurology is part of UBMD Physicians’ Group and the University at Buffalo, providing comprehensive neurological care within an academic medical environment. Our practice is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting education, clinical excellence, and collaboration among healthcare professionals.
We are seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our neurology team. This position supports physicians and advanced practice providers in delivering compassionate, efficient care to patients with neurological conditions across the lifespan.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Patient Support

Assist providers with patient intake, clinical assessments, and procedures

Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and screening information

Support patient flow to ensure timely and efficient clinic operations
Exams, Procedures & Room Preparation
-
Prepare exam rooms and assist with neurological exams and minor procedures

Ensure appropriate supplies and equipment are available for patient visits
Documentation & Care Coordination

Track labs, diagnostic tests, and clinical documentation

Complete EMR tasks and maintain accurate, confidential patient records

Manage patient phone calls and messages in accordance with training and clinical protocols
Clinic Operations

Support general clinical operations, communication, and coordination of care

Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to clinic policies at all times
Qualifications

Active New York State LPN license required

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred

Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and providing excellent customer service
