Position Summary
UB Associates, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounts payable operations by processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments.
The Accounts Payable Clerk plays an important part in ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards while supporting the overall efficiency of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
Invoice Processing & Vendor Payments

Process, review, and code vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner

Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation

Prepare and process weekly/monthly check runs and electronic payments

Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status
Reconciliation & Record Management

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing issues

Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable files and records

Ensure all documentation is properly tracked and stored
Month-End Support & Compliance

Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable

Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures

Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports

Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
