Role Overview
Under broad supervision, the IT EHR Enterprise Business Analyst 3 participates in the planning, design, implementation, and ongoing support of Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management systems. This position bridges technical and operational functions, working closely with clinical personnel, developers, and system administrators to optimize workflows, maintain system security, ensure HIPAA compliance, and resolve complex software and platform issues.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain EHR and practice management software to ensure optimal performance, data accuracy, and HIPAA compliance.
• Gather and document technical and business requirements in collaboration with clinical, administrative, and development teams.
• Provide technical and end-user support, interfacing directly with vendor support teams to resolve application and platform issues promptly.
• Analyze clinical workflows to identify opportunities for system optimization and process improvements within the EHR platform.
• Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups while ensuring data integrity and adherence to IT security protocols.
• Utilize REST APIs, Postman, and Swagger to test software integrations and document operational workflows.
• Compose clear and detailed JIRA tickets for technical teams and generate analytical reports for leadership decision-making.
Required Skills & Experience
• 3 to 5 years of experience supporting EHR and Practice Management systems within a medical clinic or healthcare setting.
• Minimum 5 years of advanced hands-on experience with Windows operating systems.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting applications on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Minimum 3 years of experience utilizing issue-tracking and ticketing platforms such as JIRA or Ivanti.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or 2 years of experience working with complex hospital IT environments).
• Proven track record in system implementation, configuration, user support, and testing using tools like REST APIs, Postman, or Swagger.
Preferred Skills
• Proficiency in HL7 standards and IT security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with network installation, configuration, and management.
Additional Details
• Work Schedule: Standard full-time schedule (8 hours per day, 5 days per week).
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid arrangement; candidate must be available to work on-site as required by leadership.
• Operational Flexibility: Must be available for on-call or off-hours support when required to maintain system operations.
