What You’ll Do:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent for the organization. You’ll join a team that has a deep understanding of how our business operates which allows them to excel in identifying and attracting top talent. Our Talent Acquisition Specialists are passionate about finding talent that will help transform the transportation industry and are committed to always providing an unforgettable candidate experience.
- Own full-cycle recruitment which encompasses sourcing, interviewing, and closing candidates
- Create unique strategies to identify, attract, and engage with the best talent
- Screen, interview and prepare a candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline
- Effectively communicate U.S. Xpress’ mission and culture to help candidates understand impact and value
- Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management
- Effectively partner with HR Operations to manage expectations of managers, solve recruiting issues and act as an advisor throughout the recruiting process
- Think creatively around building campus strategies and execute against the plan with strong communication and attention to detail
- Focus on providing a great candidate experience at every opportunity
- Provide timely reporting of key metrics and insights to drive decisions and improve processes
· Maintain knowledge of compensation offerings, benefits, salary structures and variable pay plans for potential candidates
· Promote USX company-wide programs in recruiting, marketing, employee referrals, job positing, background verification and offer negotiations

What We’re Looking For:
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required. Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.
Experience
· Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience directly recruiting in a corporate or agency environment required.
· Experience sourcing and closing profiles ranging from entry-level to senior management positions.
· Experience in the transportation industry a plus.
Skills/Certifications
- Deep understanding of sourcing techniques, Boolean search strings, and programs like Hiretual
- Relentless drive to find and connect with the best talent
- Previous experience using Cornerstone or other ATS systems preferred
- Previous experience using multiple sourcing tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, CareerBuilder, ZipRecruiter, Dice, Hiretual, etc. required
- Ability to understand, articulate and document a hiring manager’s stated requirements and formulate a clear value proposition to attract top talent
- Must be both tactical and strategic with the ability to communicate overall strategic vision and execution
- Ability to utilize structured candidate assessment methodologies, utilizing innovative sourcing/recruitment techniques to recruit passive candidates
- Ability to effectively build rapport/relationships via the phone
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong recruiting skills
- Excellent organizational, strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills are a must
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
