31E – Corrections/Detention Specialist
This role involves supporting the daily operations of a correctional or detention facility while helping maintain safety, structure, and accountability. You would monitor individuals in custody, enforce facility procedures, and provide guidance and support within rehabilitation-focused programs. The job builds practical experience in facility operations, security procedures, observation and reporting, conflict management, counseling support, and working in structured, high-responsibility environments.

Enlistment entails that you speak to a recruiter, take a job placement exam, complete a physical exam, choose from the career options that are presented to you, sign a career contract of 2-6 years, and take the oath of enlistment and attend bootcamp.
