Responsibilities

• Directs medical nuclear/radiological defense, nuclear elimination missions, and CBRN medical defense activities
• Identifies, evaluates, and establishes protection guidance for radiation hazards across working environments, materiel, munitions, and armaments.
• Serves as Health Physics SME on specialized teams, including Radiological Advisory Medical Teams (RAMT) and Special Medical Augmentation Response Teams (SMART)
• Manages Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) medical licenses, enabling nuclear medicine, radiation oncology, and therapeutic modalities in health care facilities
• Advises on life-cycle management of radioactive commodities and contributes to Army/AMEDD policy for depleted uranium munitions and armor.
• Serves in staff assignments and provides instruction in public, occupational, and environmental radiation health fields

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in physics (any type), engineering (any type), radiobiology, or chemistry (preferred a Master of Science in health physics, medical physics, or nuclear engineering)
• Must have taken calculus 1 & 2, physics 1 & 2* with lab* and a health physics course

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
