What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Sewing Machine Operator - Bar tack position at TYR Tactical?
Summary of Position:
Sewing experience in a production environment with strong attention to detail and/or willingness to learn and be trained
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the press matching is set up, run, and cleaned in an appropriate fashion at the appropriate time.
- Proficient experience on the Bar tack machine.
- Use different sewing machines as necessary according to the need of the product in order to sew fabrics together.
- Cut away excess threads after sewing with the trimmer on the sewing machine.
- Uphold Company regulations and quality standards while performing the tasks.
- Prepare set up and clean the sewing machine as required in order to uphold Company regulations and quality standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to listen, learn and communicate with supervisor and coworkers.
- Ability to take direction and come back with solid results/solutions.
- Ability to manage daily tasks and meet time-lines.
- Ability to focus on results.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes or restructure of priorities.
Must be willing to work 40 hours per week and Overtime as required
