Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in San Mateo, CA, for a Senior Growth Manager - Community & Marketing Operations. We are looking for a community- and operations-minded marketer who enjoys being close to users and shaping how they experience our product day to day. You’re thoughtful, organized, and proactive, with a strong sense of brand voice and the ability to turn community insights into clear action for Product, CS, and Growth. You’re comfortable managing external partners and creators, keeping communication consistent and professional. Most of all, you care about building healthy, engaged communities and scalable processes that support long-term growth.
Responsibilities
Community Engagement and Sentiment Management
- Oversee and strengthen community engagement across Discord, Reddit, X, and other social platforms.
- Monitor discussions daily, respond to user questions, and maintain a helpful, positive presence.
- Track and analyze sentiment trends across product and external channels.
- Proactively identify user pain points and escalate insights to Product, CS, and Growth.
- Enforce community guidelines while keeping the environment safe, respectful, and aligned with brand values.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice across all community interactions and partner communications.
Growth Partner Management
- Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with professional voice actors and other ecosystem partners.
- Coordinate communication between internal teams and external creators to support campaigns and product updates.
- Provide partners with context, assets, and best practices for consistent representation of Typecast.
Customer Support (CS) Coordination
- Ensure user issues are acknowledged and resolved quickly with clear, transparent communication.
- Maintain and update FAQs, pinned posts, and support documentation for recurring inquiries.
CRM & Retention Support
- Support the creation and delivery of user-facing announcements, including in-app messaging and Discord updates.
- Assist with CRM workflows that enhance user retention, activation, and re-engagement.
- Help ensure messaging is accurate, timely, and aligned across all channels.
Process and Workflow Management
- Identify operational gaps and implement scalable processes that improve execution across the marketing team.
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience leading and scaling online communities across platforms such as Discord, Reddit, X, and similar channels
- Strong track record of translating community insights and sentiment trends into product, growth, and customer experience improvements
- Exceptional written communication skills with a proven ability to manage brand voice, sensitive conversations, and public sentiment
- Experience managing external partners, creators, or ecosystem stakeholders and aligning them with company goals and messaging
- Deep understanding of customer support, CRM, and retention workflows in SaaS or technology-driven environments
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience in SaaS, AI technologies, or digital media is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
Compensation for this role will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, skills, and internal leveling guidelines. The base salary range for this position is $125,000–$160,000, depending on location and experience.
