Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and recreational facilities to uphold the hotel’s high standards of hygiene.
• Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) procedures and proper chemical handling protocols.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks when necessary, including moving furniture or equipment to ensure thorough cleaning coverage.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff at all times.
• Use industrial cleaning tools and janitorial equipment efficiently while adhering to sanitation standards and floor care best practices.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or inquiries related to housekeeping needs, ensuring a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Proven custodial or janitorial experience within a hotel or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with floor cleaning techniques, vacuuming, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely with knowledge of chemical handling procedures and SDS documentation.
• Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing or walking.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management procedures and industrial cleaning standards is advantageous.
• Previous experience with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols ensures preparedness for any situation.

Pay: $14.00 per hour
