Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms by executing routine cleaning tasks efficiently
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Use janitorial equipment such as vacuums, mops, buffers, and scrubbers to deliver high-quality floor care and sanitation standards
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety protocols
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or damages promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques
- Expertise in floor cleaning, floor care, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while maintaining compliance with safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols
- Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting and moving supplies or furniture efficiently and safely
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and janitorial best practices
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures to respond effectively during urgent situations
