Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations and high standards of cleanliness.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and protocols aligned with sanitation and safety regulations.
- Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service expectations.
- Monitor cleaning quality across guest rooms, public areas, laundry services, and industrial cleaning tasks, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment maintenance, and procurement to ensure operational readiness.
- Enforce safety regulations and sanitation standards to create a safe environment for staff and guests alike.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, leadership, and motivation to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial services, commercial cleaning, or janitorial roles within the hospitality industry.
- Supervising experience with a strong background in team management and leadership.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee industrial cleaning processes and laundry operations.
- Excellent managerial communication skills to coordinate with staff, vendors, and hotel management.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to address guest concerns professionally.
- Prior experience in housekeeper management or hospitality supervisory roles preferred.
