Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning.
- Support children during playtime, meal times, nap times, and other daily routines to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform ongoing care strategies.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by providing attentive caregiving tailored to individual requirements.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols including first aid procedures when necessary, maintaining a secure environment for all children.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's day-to-day experiences and developmental milestones.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for early childhood education.
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or children with special needs is advantageous.
- Classroom management skills to support positive behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with working in inclusive environments supporting children with disabilities or special education needs.

Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a Live Scan background clearance
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is acceptable.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Dependable, punctual, and responsible
- Comfortable working with infants through school-age children
Preferred (Not Required):
- Previous childcare or daycare experience
- Interest in or currently pursuing Child Development/Early Childhood Education (opportunity to gain experience toward coursework)
