Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS systems
- Serve food, beverages, cocktails, and spirits efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, bar stations, and service stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed and support kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, handle special requests or concerns promptly, and promote additional sales through upselling techniques
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of Toast POS systems or similar platforms for efficient order processing
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy setting while multitasking seamlessly between serving tables and handling transactions
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail mixing, beverage service standards, and food safety practices
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales calculations
- Culinary experience or food industry background is advantageous for understanding menu items and food presentation standards
