Job Summary
Provide administrative and financial support to ensure accurate budget reporting, payroll processing, and procurement coordination for the College of Veterinary Medicine, while maintaining confidentiality and organized records .
Essential Job Duties
- Create and maintain procurement documents prior to review and approval.
- Respond to inquiries from staff and faculty regarding requisitions and other purchasing documents status.
- Maintain an organized filing system for budget-related documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Reconcile budget statement and prepare monthly reports for Department Heads.
- Aid in compiling annual budget package for the College of Veterinary Medicine.
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive financial and budgetary information.
- Maintain personnel files and assist with bi-weekly and monthly payroll processing.
- Process Personnel Action Forms for Staff
- Maintain a database of professional development activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
- Bachelor’s degree with one-year experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in data entry and computer skills, including expertise in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel). Experience with financial management systems or databases is preferred.
Physical Demands
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to walk short distances
- Ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items
- Ability to view a computer terminal
