Tusco is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our Physical Security Division.
📍 This position can be based out of any of our Alabama offices in:
- Cottondale (Tuscaloosa area)
- Bessemer (Birmingham area)
- Huntsville

As a Construction Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of multiple projects from planning through completion - leading field teams and subcontractors, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating with customers and project stakeholders, and ensuring work is delivered safely, accurately, on time, and within budget.
What you’ll do:
- Manage construction projects at various stages of execution
- Lead field personnel and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with specifications
- Partner with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders during project planning and execution
- Develop project plans, scopes, schedules, budgets, and material requirements
- Manage project costs, conduct cost analyses, and prepare estimates and proposals for small projects and change orders
- Oversee contract requirements, negotiations, revisions, and additions
- Identify project risks and develop recommendations to mitigate them
- Navigate schedule impacts, changing site conditions, weather delays, and other challenges that arise during construction
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, specifications, regulations, industry standards, and Tusco procedures
- Build strong working relationships with customers, owners, vendors, subcontractors, designers, supervisors, and field teams
- Serve as a key liaison between Tusco, our customers, and our partners throughout the life of each project
- Approach customer needs with a customer-first mindset and a sense of urgency
What we’re looking for:
- 5 years of experience managing construction projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent experience
- Proven experience managing project schedules, budgets, costs, teams, subcontractors, and competing priorities
- Strong leadership and the ability to effectively delegate and hold teams accountable
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management
- Analytical thinking and the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
- Ability to successfully manage multiple active projects at once
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction scheduling/project management software
- Ability and willingness to learn Tusco’s perimeter security products and solutions
- PMP, CCM, DBIA, CQM, ACI, or comparable project management certifications are highly desirable.
