Job Summary:
As a Production Line Cheese Packer in a refrigerated environment, your primary responsibility is to efficiently and safely pack cheese products while strictly adhering to food safety protocols, safety guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and handling requirements. Working in a cold environment, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality and safety throughout the packaging process, including the ability to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs following proper lifting techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
· Pack cheese products accurately on the production line, following specific packaging instructions and requirements.
· Adhere to food safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety guidelines to maintain a hygienic and safe work environment in the refrigerated facility.
· Perform regular quality checks on packaged cheese products to ensure weight accuracy, appearance standards, and overall product quality.
· Operate packaging machinery safely and efficiently, following safety protocols and reporting any equipment malfunctions promptly.
· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, equipment, and tools to prevent contamination and uphold hygiene standards.
· Apply proper labeling to packaged cheese products, including essential product information such as expirations dates, lot numbers, and relevant identifiers.
· Collaborate with team members to coordinate packaging schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of production goals.
· Follow safety regulation, emergency procedures, and GMP guidelines to promote a secure working environment and uphold product quality standards.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience in packaging, production line work, or a related field, preferably in a refrigerated environment.
· Proficient understanding of food safety protocols, GMP, safety guidelines, and proper handling procedures for perishable products.
· Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50lbs following appropriate lifting practices.
· Attention to detail and accuracy in packaging cheese products according to specified requirements.
· Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
· Physical endurance to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive task on the production line.
· Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime routinely, and adapt to changing production schedules as needed.
